Why I created AYAMI

Hi, I'm Anna.

I'm autistic, have ADHD, and a limb difference. Like many people, I've spent years struggling to find clothing that genuinely worked for me.

At the same time, I spent over a decade studying complex design problems. During my PhD at EPFL, in collaboration with MIT and the European Space Agency, I developed methods for designing highly constrained systems.

One day I started wondering:

If we can design missions to Mars around hundreds of constraints, why are we still designing clothing around the average person?

That question eventually became AYAMI.
